Direct solar pumping already exists to draw water from boreholes or surface water in places where there is not power supply available. Water is pumped using electrical pumps powered by photovoltaic or wind power systems. In the first and through solar radiation a pump can be run by direct energy produced by the sun and without storing energy in batteries.

Power generated by photovoltaic arrays are proportionally to the sun radiation along the day, therefore the flow obtained varies depending on the location latitude.

The system is completely automatic and doesn't need operators or qualified personnel to run. Only a very basic maintenance like array cleaning is enough.
Once the design is completed the set up is quick and cheap. The whole installation doesn't take many items, and there is no requirement for special on spot job.
